Ashland, Oregon
Michelle Rodes first came to Ashland, Oregon, as a child. She walked the wooded paths of Lithia Park and sipped from the Fountain of Youth. The beauty of the Rogue Valley enchanted her, and drew her back, year after year. Like the rushing creek, her creativity flows here, and inspires paintings like one on a solitary Christmas Morning after snowfall.
Michelle studied art at The Richmond College in London, and The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she obtained a BFA and MFA Degrees. A passion for design lead her to The California School of Professional Textile Design, Berkeley, then on to University of California at Berkeley, where she studied in Interior Design and Architecture, and became a professional designer.
In private moments, Michelle paints in watercolors and oils, making illustrations of whimsical tales, portraits of cherished pets, and memories of scenic places.
